How Does Energy Efficiency Help You?
What are the benefits of weatherization and heat pumps?
Upgrading your weatherization can lower your energy bills and improve the comfort of your home year-round. Heat pumps are a clean, safe and efficient way to heat and cool your home.
Weatherization: One of the first steps toward better energy efficiency is weatherization, which includes upgrading your insulation and air sealing. Weatherization upgrades can significantly benefit your home by:
- Lowering heating and cooling costs by an average of 15%
- Reducing drafts for improved comfort and consistent humidity throughout the year
- Minimizing outside noise for a quieter, more peaceful environment
- Preventing allergens and pests from entering your home
- Reducing the chance of ice dams - protecting your home from potential damage.
Heat Pumps: Heat pumps offer a highly energy efficient way to both heat and cool your home. Heat pumps are:
- Effective Year Round: They can efficiently heat in the winter, even in outdoor temperatures as low as -15℉. They double as a cooling system in the summer and can dehumidify the air, providing year-round comfort.
- Safe and Clean: They are powered by electricity with no in-home fuel storage and no carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide emissions.
- Flexible: They can be installed to heat and cool individual zones or an entire home, providing all-in-one comfort.
