  To highlight the benefits of energy efficiency in advancing a more equitable clean energy future, the Sponsors of Mass Save® and Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) hosted Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) Secretary Ed Augustus at Chestnut Manor in Arlington on Tuesday. The Arlington Housing Authority property, which serves more than 100 residents living with disabilities and senior citizens, received a $1.3 million investment in energy efficiency upgrades from Eversource, a Mass Save Sponsor, and ABCD.

  In support of Massachusetts’ nation-leading programs the Mass Save® Sponsors today announced they enabled a record number of residential heat pump installations in 2023. This marks the third consecutive year installations have surpassed the goals outlined within the Massachusetts Three-Year Energy Efficiency Plan.

  Following through on the specialist’s recommendations, Richard McKenna had new insulation installed in his attic and walls, and air leaks sealed in drafty areas. Thanks to $2,070 in Eversource incentives, over 80% of the total project costs was covered. Even better, the upgrades are saving him an estimated $842.28 each year.
