Path 1: Zero Net Energy (ZNE)/Deep Energy SavingsComprehensive technical expertise and financial incentives for ZNE, ZNE Ready, very low energy use intensity (EUI) and Passive House projects.
Partner with the Sponsors of Mass Save for help reaching your team’s zero net energy (ZNE) goals while getting the project on a path to minimize future overall energy use. If you are planning a ZNE commercial or industrial building project, receive the highest level of incentives to offset project costs, as well as resources and tools to help you achieve a very low energy use intensity (EUI) and ultimately, zero-net energy success.
To be eligible, the project must have a target goal of 25 EUI and building must have a minimum of 20,000 square feet of heated and cooled space.
Zero Net Energy Building: A building that produces as much clean, renewable energy as it uses when measured over a one year period.
Energy Use Intensity (EUI): A measure of a building’s gross annual energy consumption relative to its gross square footage. Building EUI is important because it allows for an easy comparison between the energy use of different buildings.
|Construction Incentive||$1.25/square foot (sf)|
|ZNE or PH Certification||$3,000|
|Technical Assistance for ZNE Services||50% of fee up to $10,000|
|Verification Incentive||50% of fee up to $10,000|
