  • Businesses should contact their Sponsor to discuss the project in advance. You can find your Sponsor here.
  • Pre-approval is required before installation begins. To obtain pre-approval; submit an application, equipment or measure specifications, and a proposal outlining the planned work to your Sponsor for review.
  • Once pre-approval is granted, installation can proceed. After the project is complete, the contractor must submit final documentation, including final specifications, invoices, and the signed application. Once the final documentation has been reviewed and approved, payment will be issued.
  • Eligible customers use less than 1.5 million kWh of electricity annually or less than 40,000 therms of natural gas annually. For customers served by Unitil, the electric usage threshold is 1 million kWh annually.

Contact your Sponsor to discuss your project and begin the pre-approval process. Your Sponsor can help determine eligibility, review proposed upgrades, and guide you through the application process.
