Energy efficiency can enhance comfort and safety for small business renters and landlords. Achieve long-term savings with incentives from the Sponsors of Mass Save – up to 100% of project cost paid by rebates for eligible small business renters.*

  1. Complete the form above or reach out directly to your Mass Save Sponsor to schedule a no-cost energy assessment. If you are not sure who your Sponsor is or if you are interested in learning more about electrification opportunities, use the Find Your Mass Save Sponsor tool.
  2. A qualified energy specialist will conduct an in-personof your building, identifying potential energy-saving measures (insulation and air sealing, lighting system upgrades, HVAC system upgrades, pipe insulation, faucet aerators, and more).
  3. Your organization will receive a customized Energy Savings Proposal detailing energy efficiency recommendations.
  4. Recommended energy efficiency measures will be installed by our qualified vendor and paid for up to 100 percent by your Sponsor. If you prefer to use your own contractor, your Mass Save Sponsor can guide you through self-directed options.

Renter Eligibility

  • Annual energy usage is less than 1.5M kWh or 40,000 therms per year
    • For customers of Unitil: Annual energy usage is less than 1M kWh
  • Must be responsible for paying energy costs
  • Building owner must not be affiliated with or have a stake in the renter’s business

Landlord Responsibility

  • Renter must occupy more than 50% of the building
  • Required to fill out the Enhanced Small Business Renter Offer Qualification Form, which will be coordinated with the energy specialist
