Switch to ENERGY STAR® certified audio products and enjoy the sweet sound of savings.
Home electronics, such as audio equipment, are responsible for 15 percent of household electricity use. The average U.S. household owns 24 home electronic products, and many of these end up using electricity continuously, even when turned off. Make sure to look for the ENERGY STAR label when shopping for home audio equipment and other electronics to help you save energy and money.
Mass Save doesn’t currently offer incentives for this measure, but below are some resources to help you choose the most efficient option.
ENERGY STAR-certified home audio equipment is up to 60 percent more efficient than non-certified equipment. You can find a wide range of audio products with the ENERGY STAR label, such as:
- Sound bars
