  As part of their ongoing commitment to connect customers with energy saving solutions, the Sponsors of Mass Save® are partnering with nearly 90 communities across the Commonwealth through the Main Streets initiative. Launched in April and continuing through October, the initiative connects small business owners with approved contractors to schedule no-cost energy assessments and determine solutions for lowering energy use and saving money.

  Furthering their commitment to equitable access to energy efficiency education, the Sponsors of Mass Save® today announced that applications are now open for the first round of the 2024 Mass Save Community Education Grant. The year-long program enhances efforts by community-based organizations to provide access to energy efficiency education and programming in Environmental Justice Communities (EJCs) across Massachusetts.

• The Massachusetts Stretch Energy Code for HERS Raters

  This course covers the requirements of the Energy Rating Index (ERI) path, as amended by Massachusetts, and IECC “mandatory” requirements. This course, specifically designed for HERS Raters, reviews details of the ERI path, including rating standard options, renewable energy bonuses, and verification and documentation requirements.

• MA - R1.2 2023 Residential Stretch Code: Mandatory Requirements & Additional Efficiency Packages

  This module takes a deeper dive into the mandatory requirements. We’ll look at each requirement and what has changed from the 2018 IECC to the 2021 IECC code cycle. Additional Efficiency packages will also be discussed. We will look at requirements for both prescriptive and stretch code when it comes to the additional packages.
