Air to water heat pumps can provide a total solution for heating, cooling, and hot water supply in a home.
Air to water heat pumps use the same concept as an air source heat pump for drawing out heat from the outdoor air. The difference is it delivers the heat via water piped through a home (rather than hot air).
Discounts and no-cost options are also available to income-qualifying customers.
Heat pumps use electricity to provide efficient heating and cooling, which will likely increase your electric usage. However, many customers offset this increase by reducing or eliminating other heating fuel costs, such as oil or propane. If you're adding air conditioning for the first time, your overall electricity usage may increase.
Eligible customers may qualify for a Seasonal Heat Pump Rate, which offers lower electric rates from November through April to help make heat pump operation more affordable. Seasonal Heat Pump Rates can help lower your heating costs while future rate options designed around when you use your energy are developed to provide greater control over your energy bill.
NOTE: Beginning October 1, 2026, serial numbers will be a required field on all heat pump rebate applications. Applicants must upload a clear, legible photo of the equipment nameplate showing the serial number for each outdoor unit.
