Comprehensive Building Assessments

Comprehensive Building Assessments (CBAs) and Scoping Studies are designed to uncover and evaluate energy and carbon-saving opportunities in existing facilities.

Comprehensive Building Assessments (CBAs) and Scoping Studies are designed to uncover and evaluate energy and carbon-saving opportunities in existing facilities. A Scoping Study provides quick, high-level recommendations, while a CBA takes a deeper dive into electrification feasibility and local ordinance compliance (e.g., BERDO or BEUDO).

These assessments provide custom recommendations of potential upgrades, cost estimates, and carbon reduction strategies – empowering building owners and management to make informed decisions that align with sustainability goals and business priorities. Up to 100% of the study cost may be covered when working with a prequalified vendor.

Benefits include:

  • Actionable Insights: Receive tailored recommendations for reducing energy usage and carbon emissions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Make progress updating your building to meet building performance standards.
  • Enhanced Incentives: Identify complementary measures that can be implemented together for cost efficiency.

The Sponsors of Mass Save will cover up to 100% of the study cost if you work with one of our prequalified vendors. Please contact your Mass Save Sponsor to receive guidance and get connected with a prequalified vendor.

You will receive a benchmarking report that categorizes buildings into tiers based on decarbonization potential, guiding your sustainability team in developing a strategic, phased approach for your building portfolio.
