Saving energy pays off–Mass Save® Sponsors earn 2021 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year

The Sponsors of Mass Save® are proud and honored to have received the ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year—Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy for 2021! 


The Sustained Excellence award is the highest honor presented by the ENERGY STAR program and recognizes our Sponsors’ long-term commitment to leading Massachusetts to a cleaner, more energy- efficient future. Winners are part of a distinguished group of national advocates who drive value for our environment, economy and communities. 

Here’s a glimpse of what our Sponsors were able to accomplish during a challenging year: 

  • Provided incentives for over 10 million ENERGY STAR certified lighting products, including 13,110 LED bulbs and 1,311 LED desk lamps.
  • Drove sales of 42,444 ENERGY STAR certified appliances and electronics, including 1,187 room air cleaners and 1,415 smart thermostats.
  • Saved 154,549,918 kWh of electricity and in working with schools, educated 107,849 students in a single event
  • Partnered with local food banks, Massachusetts Fallen Heroes and more to lead community-based energy support
  • Gave customers more savings opportunities with 20 limited-time online promotions
