Waltham, Massachusetts, April 13 —The Sponsors of Mass Save® are proud and honored to have received the 2021 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year—Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy.

The Sustained Excellence award is the highest honor presented by the ENERGY STAR program and recognizes the Sponsors’ long-term commitment to leading Massachusetts to a cleaner, more energy- efficient future. Winners are part of a distinguished group of national advocates who drive value for our environment, economy and communities.

“Receiving this award gives us even more motivation to continue making energy efficiency accessible and affordable across Massachusetts. Our Sponsors are proud of our success and excited to keep saving our customers energy each year,” said Elizabeth Terry, Customer Care at National Grid.

In the past year alone, our Sponsors provided incentives for over 10 million ENERGY STAR certified lighting products (including 13,110 LED bulbs and 1,311 LED desk lamps). They also drove sales of 42,444 ENERGY STAR certified appliances and electronics, including 1,187 room air cleaners and 1,415 smart thermostats, all while connecting with local food banks, charities and more to grow our community presence and make it easy for customers to save.

“ENERGY STAR award-winning partners are showing the world that delivering real climate solutions makes good business sense and promotes job growth,” said EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan. “Many of them have been doing it for years, inspiring all of us who are committed to tackling the climate crisis and leading the way to a clean energy economy.”
