MASS MoCA

About MASS MoCA

Located in North Adams, Massachusetts, MASS MoCA is one of the largest centers for contemporary visual and performing arts in the United States. Housed on a historic mill campus, the museum brings together artists, audiences, and communities through exhibitions, performances, educational programs, and cultural events that attract visitors from around the world.

Why are they a Mass Save Impact Award recipient?

MASS MoCA has demonstrated a commitment to improving the energy performance of its historic campus through a series of energy efficiency projects completed in recent years. Working with the Sponsors of Mass Save, the museum has completed four projects, including boiler replacements, air sealing improvements, and pipe insulation upgrades designed to enhance building efficiency and reduce energy waste.

As the organization continues to explore additional energy-saving opportunities, these investments are helping support the long-term sustainability of its facilities while preserving a unique cultural destination. In recognition of these efforts, MASS MoCA received a 2026 Mass Save Impact Award.
