Introduction to Lighting Controls

Learn about a variety of lighting controls technologies such as Luminaire Level Lighting Controls (LLLC), relevant codes and standards, how to identify appropriate applications to save energy with lighting controls, the basics of integrating with building automation systems, and which types of controls equipment will be supported by Mass Save in 2025. This training is focused on commercial and institutional buildings and assumes some basic knowledge of lighting technology.

Coffee and light breakfast will be available starting about 8am. Class will start at 8:30am. Buffet lunch will be provided. Continuing education units (CEUs) will be available through UMass.

C. “Webster” Marsh is the Owner of Penumbra Controls, where he provides lighting and lighting controls design, specification guidance, and education. Webster is a Certified Lighting Controls Practitioner (CLCP), Lighting Controls Association contributor, instructor on lighting and lighting controls, and co-host of the Lighting Controls Podcast.
