An energy efficient expert assessing a home
Making air sealing and insulation upgrades are two of the most cost-effective ways to boost efficiency and save money.

Insulation and air sealing work hand in hand to save energy, money, and increase your comfort at home. Air sealing is usually the first step—eliminating leakage points in your home, like attics, basements, and between joists.

Benefits of insulation and air sealing improvements include:

  • Lowering heating and cooling costs by up to 15 percent
  • Decreasing drafts to improve comfort and humidity all year long
  • Minimizing outside noise for a quieter, more peaceful environment
  • Reducing the chance of ice dams—protecting your home from potential damage

The Sponsors of Mass Save also offer no-cost insulation and air sealing upgrades to income-eligible residents.
