Become a participating Mass Save Heat Pump Installer and get your business in front of potential new customers.

By joining the Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Network (HPIN), your business will be listed in the "Find a Contractor" tool on the Mass Save website. You will also receive access to residential heat pump rebates, technical trainings and resources, sales and marketing tools, and more.

Residential Ground Source Heat Pump Unit

By joining the Mass Save HPIN, contractors will benefit from resources and support, including:

Exclusive access to customer offerings including residential heat pump rebates and 0% financing opportunities; all contractors will continue to have access to the commercial heat pump rebates and financing opportunities
Listing on the Mass Save Find a Contractor Tool
Technical resources and training, including:
Marketing support, including customer brochures and sales tools, such as:
Monthly program e-newsletters providing program updates, installation best practices tips, and notifications about upcoming industry training opportunities
Use of the Heat Pump Installer Logo once the Co-Brand License Addendum has been signed and proposed marketing materials have been reviewed

Gather Required Documentation
All required documentation is outlined in the enrollment instructions.
Submit Documentation via the HPIN Participation Agreement
Complete the HPIN Participation Agreement and follow all instructions.
Complete the Heating & Cooling Learning Center Registration Form
Each installer in your company must complete the Heating & Cooling Learning Center sign-up form. After completion, installers will receive a welcome email from the Mass Save Heating & Cooling Learning Center. Please allow up to two business days to receive the email invitation (including login credentials) from noreply@em.iqed.online.
Remain Active
Ensure all installers have satisfied applicable first-year training and license requirements.

An authorized company representative must submit:

A signed Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Participation Agreement
Business W-9 Form
Massachusetts HVAC or Electrical Contractor/Plumbing License (Massachusetts Sheet Metal, Refrigeration, Electrical Contractor, or Plumbing License accepted)
Certificate of Comprehensive General Liability Insurance
Certification of relevant training:

Air Source Heat Pump and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) primary installers: EPA Section 608 Certification and certification of air source heat pump installation training provided by a heat manufacturer
Ground Source Heat Pump primary installers: International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) accredited Installer or GeoExchange Designer certificate

Within the first year of participation:

Residential Air Source Heat Pump Installers must provide certification of Cold Climate Sizing and Design Training by a heat pump manufacturer. All installers must complete assigned Cold Climate Heat Pump trainings via the Mass Save Energy Heating & Cooling Learning Center
Commercial Installers must maintain active licensures as indicated on the Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Participation Agreement
