Why They Are a 2025 Climate Leader
Over the past five years, Dell Technologies in Franklin, Massachusetts, has focused on reducing its carbon footprint. Dell’s commitment to ISO 50001 “Measurement and Verification” aligns perfectly with the Mass Save programs. Through these initiatives, Dell has saved over 10 million kWh of electricity annually, resulting in lifetime reductions of more than 10,000 metric tons of CO2.
Dell has also signed a Strategic Energy Management Plan (SEMP) agreement with National Grid, fostering ongoing collaboration to explore energy efficiency and decarbonization opportunities. Recent projects include chiller and data center upgrades, control strategies, and the installation of variable frequency drives (VFDs).
