Why They Are a 2025 Climate Leader

The YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard, including the Martha’s Vineyard Ice Arena, has partnered with Cape Light Compact for nearly 10 years, demonstrating a strong commitment to reducing energy usage through various facility upgrades. Recent energy-saving improvements include lighting replacements at the YMCA and the installation of lighting and variable frequency drives at Martha’s Vineyard Ice Arena. With approximately $122,000 in incentives from Cape Light Compact, these upgrades are expected to save an estimated 705 MWh over their lifetime. The YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard’s continued commitment to energy efficiency has earned them the 2025 Mass Save Climate Leader designation.
