The Sponsors of Mass Save can help energy-efficiency work for your business.

We have qualified, independent engineers and consultants to help quantify the savings and incentive potential of customized energy efficiency projects.

Engineering Studies can include the following:

  • Technical Assistance Studies: Quantifying how much energy is projected to be saved by a custom project at completion
  • Scoping Studies: Identifying the quantity and capacity of existing equipment to provide informed energy efficiency options for implementation 
  • Research Studies: Understanding unique energy efficiency opportunities for scope and scalability

  • Must be an existing customer of Berkshire Gas, Cape Light Compact, Eversource, Liberty Utilities, National Grid, or Unitil
  • Sponsors share the cost of the technical assistance consultant’s work by paying up to 50 percent of the cost

  1. Contact your business’s Mass Save Sponsor for more information about technical assistance services before commissioning any type of study. Not sure who your Sponsor is? Use the Find Your Mass Save Sponsor tool.
  2. Sponsors will recommend an engineer, or you can select your own to work with.
  3. Sponsors share the cost of the technical assistance consultant’s work by paying up to 50 percent of the cost.

Engineering Studies are ideally suited for specialized efficiency projects that include the identification, engineering, installation, or repair of:

  • Whole or Partial Building Electrification
  • Steam Traps
  • Compressed Air Leaks
  • Natural Gas Leaks
  • Steam Leaks
  • Process & Manufacturing Improvements
