June 15, 2016

Boston, MA — The Sponsors of Mass Save, which include Cape Light Compact JPE, Eversource Energy, National Grid, and Unitil, are working with Massachusetts Fallen Heroes to aide in their mission of helping to honor fallen Massachusetts servicemen and servicewomen, and provide support for their families, through the sale of LED bulbs. For every 6-pack of LED bulbs sold (pack price $10) throughout the promotional period, $5 will be donated to Massachusetts Fallen Heroes with an overall goal of raising $25,000.

“We are proud team up with Massachusetts Fallen Heroes to raise funds for their all-important mission while also focusing on the energy efficiency services we offer as a supporter of Mass Save,” said Carol White, Director of Program Strategy, Policy, & Evaluation at National Grid.

“We are very excited to be partnering with Mass Save,” said Dan Magoon, Executive Director of Massachusetts Fallen Heroes. “Our organization prides itself on educating the general public about the advocacy we provide for Gold Star Families and veterans.  Mass Save joins a growing list of corporations, non-profits and veteran service organizations that share our goals of advocating for those that served our nation in uniform and remembering those service men and women and their families that made the ultimate sacrifice.”

The LED bulbs will be sold at a number of pop-up retail events throughout the state at festivals, events, VA hospitals, and military bases from June 25 through Veterans Day.
