Work with Your Landlord

The Sponsors of Mass Save offer several rebates and programs landlords can access to make their properties more efficient.

 

Encourage your landlord to get a no-cost energy assessment for the property. An assessment can help you and your landlord discover opportunities for greater energy efficiency. You also may receive energy-saving products at no cost.

 

Incentives on recommended upgrades may include:

  • A special offer of 100 percent off recommended insulation and air sealing improvements
  • Generous rebates of up to $25,000 on qualifying energy-efficient heating, cooling, and water-heating equipment and clothes washers
  • The opportunity to apply for 0% financing on eligible upgrades through the HEAT Loan Program
  • Up to $5,000 to help address barriers associated with insulation and air sealing upgrades recommended during an assessment. Offer valid for renter-occupied units in buildings with 2-4 units only. Single-family rentals and owner-occupied units do not qualify
  • No-cost energy-saving products, like advanced power strips, low-flow showerheads, faucet aerators, programmable thermostats, and discounted smart thermostats
