Support Massachusetts Fallen Heroes with Mass Save

August 24, 2016

This summer and fall, the sponsors of Mass Save are proud to be partnering with Massachusetts Fallen Heroes on an LED fundraiser to support the valuable work of this non-profit. The donation generated by this campaign will aide Massachusetts Fallen Heroes’ mission of honoring the Fallen, assisting Gold Star Families, and empowering returning Veterans.

To support the campaign, the Mass Save electric sponsors – which include Cape Light Compact JPE, Eversource Energy, National Grid, and Unitil – are offering a specialty pack of six ENERGY STAR® certified LEDs for just $10. The bulbs are available with a camoflauge base. For every pack sold, $5 will be donated to Massachusetts Fallen Heroes, with an overall goal of raising $25,000. Packs are being sold at events throughout Massachusetts. A list of events can be found at www.MassSave.com/mafallenheroes. For those who are unable to attend these events, bulbs will also be sold online at TechniArt.com/MAFallenHeroes

“We are very excited to be partnering with Mass Save,” said Dan Magoon, Executive Director of Massachusetts Fallen Heroes. “Our organization prides itself on educating the general public about the advocacy we provide for Gold Star Families and veterans.  Mass Save joins a growing list of corporations, non-profits and veteran service organizations that share our goals of advocating for those that served our nation in uniform and remembering those service men and women and their families that made the ultimate sacrifice.”

“We are honored to partner with Massachusetts Fallen Heroes this year,” said Maggie Downey of Cape Light Compact JPE. “Mass Save is raising funds for Massachusetts Fallen Heroes’ mission while we collectively help increase awareness on the benefits of energy-efficiency through the sale of ENERGY STAR certified LED bulbs.”

Mass Savers who purchase these packs will not only be supporting Massachusetts Fallen Heroes, but also supporting energy efficiency in Massachusetts and lowering their energy costs in the process. ENERGY STAR certified LEDs are up to 90 percent more efficient than standard bulbs, saving you up to $10 per year for every incandescent bulb that you switch to an LED. The 6-pack of bulbs offered in this fundraiser are standard A-line style bulbs, available with a camo-print base, and are suitable for most applications.
