Contribute your expert voice in the review of which technologies we refer for program consideration. This is the first step for possible inclusion in our energy efficiency programs.
The Review Process
Massachusetts' natural gas and electric utilities and energy efficiency service providers welcome suggestions from vendors and entrepreneurs for new electric and natural gas technologies that might be included under the Massachusetts energy efficiency programs.
New residential and non-residential technologies will both be assessed under the MTAC process. Click on the appropriate link below to identify next steps:
Toward this end the utilities and energy efficiency service providers have established the statewide Massachusetts Technical Assessment Committee (MTAC) to review new technologies which have the potential for energy efficiency.
The MTAC Process
New Residential Technologies
Residential equipment must meet the requirements identified in the documents below to be considered for program eligibility.
Please review these documents closely in order to ensure a timely assessment of the proposed technology. After review of these documents, clarifying questions can be submitted to the MTAC e-mail address listed below.
Please submit all required documents electronically to the MTAC committee via e-mail to [email protected] and [email protected]. We will acknowledge your submittal and discuss your proposal at our next monthly MTAC meeting. If you have questions, please see the MTAC Frequently Asked Questions.
New Commercial and Industrial Technologies
Commercial and industrial (non-residential) equipment must meet the requirements identified in the documents below to be considered for program eligibility.
Please review these documents closely in order to ensure a timely assessment of the proposed technology. After review of these documents, clarifying questions can be submitted to the MTAC e-mail address listed below.
