MASS SAVE EARNS 2019 ENERGY STAR® PARTNER OF THE YEAR – SUSTAINED EXCELLENCE AWARD

Waltham, Massachusetts, April 9th – The Sponsors of Mass Save are proud to announce that it has received the 2019 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award for continued leadership and superior contributions to ENERGY STAR through its Lighting and Products program. Mass Save’s accomplishments will be recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on April 11, 2019.

The Sponsors of Mass Save have received this award for demonstrating commitment to leadership in energy efficiency and the ENERGY STAR program. Of note, the Sponsors have supported the sale of more than 8,500,000 ENERGY STAR certified lighting products for the residents and businesses of Massachusetts through Negotiated Cooperative Promotions, instant price discounts, and online sales.

“We are honored to be recognized by the EPA and the Department of Energy for our Lighting and Products program,” said Cindy Carroll, Director of Customer Energy Solutions at Unitil, on behalf of the Sponsors of Mass Save. “Working together we hope to continue leading the way in energy efficiency by providing programs and resources that make it easy for residents and businesses to save money and energy, each and every day.”
“I applaud the 2019 ENERGY STAR Award Winners,” said EPA Assistant Administrator for Air and Radiation Bill Wehrum. “Their innovation and leadership enhance America’s economic competitiveness. Reducing costly energy waste improves air quality and public health while protecting the environment.”

The highest honor among ENERGY STAR Awards is the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year— Sustained Excellence Award. The EPA presents the Sustained Excellence Award to partners that have already received ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year recognition for a minimum of two consecutive years and have gone above and beyond the criteria needed to qualify for recognition. Winners hail from small, family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 organizations—representing energy-efficient products, services, new homes, and buildings in the commercial, industrial, and public sectors.
