In Massachusetts, there are a number of programs that help residents who qualify manage their energy costs. Your local utilities and energy efficiency providers have joined together with the Massachusetts Association for Community Action (MASSCAP) and Low-Income Energy Affordability Network (LEAN) to promote these programs to qualifying households.
Based on your income level and household size, you may be eligible for a number of programs that help residents manage their energy costs. These programs include fuel assistance, utility discount rates, and energy efficiency services.
You apply for energy assistance programs through a Community Action Program (CAP) in your area. In some communities, a local fuel assistance agency will be your contact.
