The Mass Save® Multi-Family Retrofit Program offers comprehensive energy efficiency services for owners and property managers, identifying opportunities throughout the whole facility to maximize energy savings.
If you are a resident of a facility with 5 or more units, refer your building owner or property manager to this site, or to call 800-594-7277 to learn how to take advantage of Mass Save® through the Multi-Family Retrofit Program.
Available Rebates and Incentives
The Program offers Multi-Family energy assessments that identify cost-effective efficiency improvement or replacement opportunities. Utilizing a “whole facility” approach, the assessments focus on your facility's thermal envelope (shell insulation and air leakage conditions) as well as lighting and mechanical systems. We will also assess in-unit savings potential for you or your tenants. A Multi-Family Energy Assessment is performed by a qualified Energy Specialist at no cost to you. Based on the assessment, the following improvements may be eligible for Mass Save® incentives:
- Energy-efficient lighting upgrades & controls
- Occupancy sensors
- Water heating equipment
- Domestic hot water measures: low-flow showerheads, aerators, and pipe wrap
- Programmable thermostats
- Air sealing
- High-efficiency heating and cooling equipment upgrades and controls
- ENERGY STAR qualified refrigerators and other eligible appliances
- Other energy improvements determined on a site-specific basis
