Mass Save® works with certified Energy Specialists, Home Performance Contractors (HPCs) and Independent Installation Contractors (IICs) to provide high-quality Home Energy Assessments and insulation installations. All of these contractors have met training and certification requirements to be eligible to work within the Home Energy Services Program.
Option 1: Schedule a Home Energy Assessment
Simply call Mass Save to schedule a Home Energy Assessment with one of our Energy Specialists. Following your assessment, the specialist will be able to coordinate weatherization services with an Independent Installation Contractor (IIC) or you can choose a contractor by clicking the link below.

Option 2: Select a Home Performance Contractor (HPC)
HPCs provide end-to-end service from Home Energy Assessments through insulation services. HPCs may also be able to offer other energy efficiency services outside the Mass Save Home Energy Services Program, such as HVAC equipment installation, solar and windows that are negotiated directly with the HPC.
To find a Participating Home Performance Contractor in your area, click on your utility or energy efficiency service provider below. If you heat your home with natural gas, select your natural gas company below to access the list of participating contractors. For all other heating fuel types, including oil, propane and electric, select your applicable electric utility or energy efficiency service provider.
After work is completed, the program conducts quality assurance inspections for Home Energy Assessments, weatherization work (air sealing and insulation), HEAT Loans, and rebated heating systems. Quality assurance inspections are performed by one of the following trusted vendors:
- Center for EcoTechnology (CET)
- Competitive Resources Inc. (CRI)
- RISE Engineering
