February 09, 2016

We went across Massachusetts to answer your questions about energy savings! Did you know that lighting accounts for about 20% of the electric bill in the average U.S. home? Hear from fellow Mass Savers and test your knowledge of LEDs by watching this short video.

ENERGY STAR® certified LED bulbs are a great energy-efficient replacement for traditional incandescent bulbs and are available in a variety of styles, shapes and sizes. They provide beautiful, quality light and will fit your old lampshade just like a traditional bulb. ENERGY STAR certified LEDs can also be purchased in dimmable models and models compatible with motion sensors. For a little more guidance on finding the right bulb, check out our lighting guide.
