Paired with weatherization upgrades  (insulation and air sealing), upgrading heating and cooling equipment is one of the most effective ways to lower your energy use.

Greater discounts and no-cost options are also available to income-qualifying customers .

  2. Purchase Eligible Equipment
    Purchase an ENERGY STAR® certified room air conditioner. The Sponsors of Mass Save offer in-store rebates for the purchase of room air conditioners. To access the rebate, you will need your utility account number on hand.

  • This offer is only open to Massachusetts residential electric customers of Cape Light Compact JPE, Eversource, National Grid, or Unitil
  • Limit two room air conditioner rebates per account per calendar year
  • The rebate is good for purchases made from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024
  • Applications for 2024 rebates and all necessary materials must be postmarked or submitted online by January 31, 2025
