NSTAR offers financing programs to business customers, including Multi-Family and Non-Profits to assist with the installation of qualified energy-efficient improvements in their facility. Interest rates are zero percent for pre-qualified projects. Financing amount and term is subject to approval by NSTAR, and improvements require pre-approval.
Small Business
Our Direct Install Program is available to businesses whose average monthly demand is 300 kW or less. We start with a free energy audit to identify energy saving opportunities. The program can also pay up to 70 percent of the total cost for retrofitting qualifying lighting and mechanical systems.
- Contact a qualified Direct Install vendor for your free energy audit.
- Indicate that you are interested in financing.
- Measures are installed by Direct Install Vendor.
- Vendor notifies NSTAR when your installation is complete.
- NSTAR will pay the vendor directly.
- NSTAR will invoice the customer for the loan amount.
- Loans are available up to $100,000 with terms up to 12 months.

Medium and Large Business
For businesses that do not qualify for our Direct Install or Municipal Program NSTAR offers additional limited financing programs. Contact your Account Executive for eligibility requirements.
